About the Role

Major accountabilities:
  • Strategically Identify Key Accounts: The SSO Site Partnership Manager is responsible for recognizing key trial sites, acknowledging their potential for substantial contribution towards portfolio execution.
  • Strategic Collaboration Enhancement: This role takes charge in reinforcing collaborations, optimizing cooperation with critically important accounts.
  • Setting Targets and Measuring Success: The role involves setting clear, achievable goals for clinical trials and strategic partnerships, as well as measuring and reporting on success metrics.
  • Trial Performance Improvement: This position is accountable for the execution of strategic initiatives aimed at streamlining patient numbers, data flow and quality in clinical trials, ensuring effective and efficient timelines.
  • Establishing Strategic Partnerships: The SSO Site Partnership Manager sets Novartis as the go-to choice for clinical trial engagements by strategically shaping and reinforcing partnerships.
  • Portfolio Execution Planning: A critical function involves strategic formulation and execution planning to leverage the immense potential of these trial sites in contributing to the portfolio.
  • Foster Innovation: Encourage and facilitate innovative thinking that can boost clinical trial processes and outcomes, and give Novartis a competitive edge in the field.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong experience in clinical research in the UK
  • Capable of leading in a matrix environment, without direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability/ mindset to think strategically, identifying and assessing complex situations in the healthcare sector and devising plans that align with the organization’s long-term vision and goals.
  • Understanding of all aspects of clinical drug development with particular emphasis on study execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent influencing and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills both internal and external (site relationships)
